The basics of baccarat are straightforward: you bet on whether Banker, Player, or Tie will have a score closest to 9. Each round begins with the dealer dealing two cards to both sides — Banker and Player. Card values follow a unique system: cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, while 10, Jack, Queen, and King are worth 0, and Ace is worth 1. If the total exceeds 9, only the second digit counts.
Example: If the Banker receives a 7 and a 6, the total is 13 — but in baccarat, the score is 3 (only the last digit counts). If the Player receives an 8 and a 5, the total is 13, score 3.
